Today Saturday, July 2, 2022, cooperatives globally will celebrate a milestone anniversary of the 100th International Day of Cooperatives and the 28th edition recognized officially by the United Nations as an International Day. It also marks a decade from the International Year of Cooperatives in 2012.
This year’s slogan — “Cooperatives Build a Better World” will showcase the numerous contributions of Cooperatives in making the world a better place.

For us in Ogun State Cooperative Federation Limited (OGSCOFED) the celebration comes up bi-annually, but with this year’s milestone anniversary, it’s worth celebrating the valuable contribution of Cooperatives in OGSCOFED Remo Branch – 1.

Over the years, our cooperative Societies & Unions in Remo Branch 1 have consistently built a better world by showing concern for our community, creating a fair and united community, supporting government activities and providing affordable credit facilities to its members. We have also grown in membership, Capital base and helped our community by providing shelters with our various Society & Union Buildings.

Today, I invite cooperators everywhere to spread the word about, how our people-centred business model inspired by the cooperative principles & values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity & solidarity, and the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others is building a better world in Remo Branch – 1.
