A depressed secondary school student, Adegoke Adeyemi of Offa Grammar school, in Offa local government area of Kwara who failed his promotion examination from SSS1 to SSS2 and was asked to repeat has hanged himself.
Also, a notorious cultist and head of the gang, Monday Ojoagbu who has been terrorising Ilorin and its environs for sometime now was on Monday arrested in a supermarket Ilorin.
Meanwhile, it was reliably gathered that the remains of Adeyemi was found dangling on a tree behind Ariya Garden hotel area in Offa.
Spokesman of Kwara State police command, Ajayi Okasanmi who confirmed the incident said it was police that recovered his lifeless body from the tree.
“The corpse was removed and taken to General hospital Offa for autopsy, while investigation into the matter is ongoing.”Okasanmi said.
Kwara police Spokesman also said that a notorious Cultist and head of the gang ,Monday Ojoagbu,who has been terrorising Ilorin and its environs has been arrested in a supermarket.
Okasanmi said that Ojoagbu who was with his gang at Ace Supermarket located at Unity area of Ilorin on Monday couldn’t be arrested with his gang because of the collateral damage it could cause as a result of other innocent customers around them hence other members of the gang escaped.
He also said that Ojoagbu was about carrying out an attack on a target yet to be identified when he was arrested.
“Acting on an actionable intelligence by a team of Kwara State Police Command’s Anti-cultism Unit, one notorious Cultist who has been on the wanted list of the Anti-cultism team named Monday Ojoagbu ‘M’ and other members of his gang , on a mission to carry out another gruesome attack on a target yet to be identified, were traced and arrested at Ace Supermarket located at Unity area of Ilorin on 2/8/2022 at about 1800hours.
“In an attempt to arrest the suspect, while also avoiding likely collateral damage in the process of the arrest, it was difficult to simultaneously arrest the other members of his gang who escaped using customers of the supermarket as cover”Okasanmi said in a statement issued in Ilorin Wednesday evening.

One locally made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from the suspect.
Meanwhile,efforts are in progress to arrest his fleeing accomplices, he stressed.
