In his quest to continue contributing meaningfully to the development of his federal constituency, the House of Representatives candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, Barrister Taiwo Shote (PEPE) has commenced installation of solar-powered lights in some communities under a scheme known as “OPERATION LIGHT UP IJEBU CENTRAL FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY”.

Some of the areas that have benefitted from the initiative include Ibefun/Ilado, Odufowora, off Alakara junction, Adefisan, Orunfe, UNA, Jagirin, Precious stone, Cele, Bishop’s court, Kowa, commercial, Araromi extension, Imodi, Imosan, Okun Owa, Ososa, Idowa, Latogun- all spread within the three local government areas that consist Ijebu Central Federal Constituency (Ijebu Ode/Ijebu North East and Odogbolu local government areas).

Shote, while speaking at the commencement of the project, said it is meant to light up dark spots around the communities, increase social and economic activities and reduce criminal activities in various benefitting communities.

He, however, urged residents of the various communities to take ownership of the project to prevent vandalism.

Shote explained that the project and other numerous initiatives he embarked upon were meant to enhance the quality of lives of the people.
