As ‘Sagamites’ home and abroad gather to celebrate the 2022 Sagamu Day, a stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sagamu local government, Asiwaju Ayorinde Babatunde (Fabregas) has joined in congratulating the Akarigbo of Remoland, HRM, Oba Samuel Babatunde Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa II) and indeed, the entire sons and daughters of Sagamu and remo at large.

Fabregas, in a statement personally signed by him, described the occasion of the 2022 Sagamu Day as another huge opportunity to sit and look back on the achievements made so far and come up with other developmental plans for the town.

“As we celebrate the 2022 Sagamu Day, I join other eminent and prominent indigenes of this great town to congratulate our highly revered monarch, HRM Oba Samuel Babatunde Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa II).

I extend my congratulations to the entire people of Sagamu and congratulate them for being alive to witness this year’s edition. There is no doubt that our dear town has given us a whole lot and as such, it is expected that we do our bit not just in celebrating it, but in deploying our resources for the good and progress of Sagamu.

This occasion brings together Sagamites home and abroad, giving space for a joint brainstorming session on how and what else to do, to move Sagamu forward”, the statement reads.

Fabregas further urged the people, particularly the youths to be moderate in celebration and do away with violence. He noted that the occasion is a symbol of peace and unity and should be handled as such.
