…Say Abiodun Does Not Deserve Second Term

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Odogbolu local government received a massive boost as members of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) on Friday, 23rd of December, 2022, defected to the People’s Democratic Party, citing the cluelessness of Dapo Abiodun’s administration and the inability of the ruling APC to provide good governance as two of the many reasons for their defection.

The defectors from wards 4 and 5 in Odogbolu local government were received by the House of Reps candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ijebu Central Federal constituency, Barr. Taiwo Shote, House of Assembly candidate of the party in Odogbolu state constituency, Hon. Olalekan Adeleye and some notable party leaders in the local government which include but not limited to; Otunba Tola Odulaja, Mrs Morenikeji Adeniyi, Hon S.A.Okeowo, Mrs. Afolake Kilani, Erelu Oyinlola Odufuwa and Hon. Kunle Balogun.

Leader of the defectors, Mr. Adewale Solomon Damilola (BABY BOY) while addressing party faithful said the APC brought nothing but hardship to the people of Ogun State and that they found the PDP as the only party that can rescue the good people of gateway state from the misrule of the APC government.

Adewale, who expressed appreciation to PDP leaders and candidates for the warm reception, said it was imperative for them to consider the yearnings of the people for quality governance and that only the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has the credentials, adding that they have come to contribute their own quota to the growth of the party, which he described as a truly democratic party.

“We are happy to be part of history because we are making history today. It is time to take back our destiny. It is now left in our hands.

“Our coming to PDP is holistic as we have come to contribute our part to the growth of the party, which is a truly democratic party”, he said.

In his remark, Barr. Taiwo Shote (PEPE) welcomed the defectors, assuring them of fair treatment. He asserted that the PDP is formidable enough to win the 2023 elections, saying that the party has very sellable presidential, governorship, senatorial, house of representatives and house of assembly candidates. He urged those who are yet to get their PVC to do so as it is the only tool with which they can truly oust the bad government of the APC.
