Ahead of the forthcoming Mobile Phone Dealers And Technicians Association (MOPDATEC) election, a chairmanship aspirant, Omo’ba Olagoke Obadina and his ASEYORI TEAM presented their manifesto to the phone dealers and technicians at Tarmac, Oke-Lewo in Abeokuta on Thursday, 25th of May, 2023.

In his address, Obadina promised to address the issue of insecurity in the association market by partnering with relevant security agencies to forestall any breakdown of law and order in the market; he assures the members that his manifesto will capture their health and wellness by ensuring that a partnership with healthcare bodies that can provide affordable HMO for MOPDATEC members will be looked into under his watch if he is elected the next chairman of the association.

Speaking further, the mobile phone dealer who acted as the MOPDATEC anniversary committee chairman in 2021 revealed that sinking a borehole for the association members usage is part of his plans to give the association a new direction and rebrand its image.

Obadina also promised the cheering members that his administration will look within the government agencies and private financial bodies to secure soft loans and available grants for small and medium scale entrepreneurs in the tech sector like them that they can benefit from.

On the issue of the current litigation the association is facing over the right of occupancy of the market location, he assured the members of MOPDATEC of his team’s readiness to pursue the case in court to a logical conclusion as permitted within the law.

As part of the Aseyori Team, Comr Rahmon Shobanke(Aboki), who is vying for the position of the general secretary of MOPDATEC in the forthcoming election, appeal to the association members to put their weight, support and votes behind the team so as to give the association a new and purpose leadership.
