The Deputy Minority Whip of the Federal House of Representatives (9th Assembly), Rt. Hon. Adesegun Abdel-Majid Adekoya (Attacker) has reaffirmed his unalloyed commitment to accessible education and continuous delivery of life-impacting projects for the good people of Ijebu North/Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.

Hon. Adekoya who represented the good people of Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside at the green chamber in the 9th Legislative Assembly made this known on Saturday at the official commissioning of a hall, facilitated by his humble self at Abobi Comprehensive High School, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun state.

Hon. Adesegun Abdel—Majid Adekoya while addressing the press said the hall project is undertaken in furtherance of his avowed commitment towards ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere in public schools within his constituency.

In his words, “this project is in line with my pledge to provide basic amenities and infrastructures needed to boost literacy rate in order to drive the economic development and promote the aspirations of our people in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

“I will continue to give priority to education given the fact that it remains the bedrock of a bright and prosperous future for our children, who are the future leaders.

“It is also a testament that in PDP, we keep our promises, we shall do more if you give us your massive support to reclaim our mandate in the forthcoming election.”, Rt. Hon. Adesegun Abdel—Majid Adekoya said.

The school hall project comes with state-of-the-art electrical appliances as well as furniture which creates a conducive environment for students’ learning activities.

In his remark, Mr Suberu, the chairman of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA), said posterity will never forget the facilitator of the project for the monumental gesture, which he noted has given them a sense of belonging after years of being neglected.

According to him, “Hon. Adesegun Abdel—Majid Adekoya has done what the people of Ijebu North/Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside and even future generations will not forget.

“He has delivered this project in record time and this will no doubt alleviate the plight faced by our children in accessing basic education”, the PTA Chairman said.

The representative from the Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Dr. Mrs Nuberu, commended the immediate past representative for his burning passion for the well-being of his constituents.

She promised that the purpose of the building will positively impact the lives of the children as well as the host community.

In their own remarks, Mr Badewa K., a teacher in Abobi Secondary School, as well as Miss Mulilat Bakare and Mr Moshood, Members of the Old Student Association, Matilukuro Matilda a Student of Senior Secondary School 3, also thanked the ex lawmaker for facilitating the school project in their school.

They expressed confidence that with the newly furnished school hall, access to basic education has been expanded and will rub off on the students of the school.
