The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ogun State chapter, Hammed Benco, has heaped praises on Governor Dapo Abiodun for his responsiveness to the needs of workers in the state.

Benco expressed his appreciation during the ceremony where two new 18-seater buses were handed over to the NLC and the National Union of Local Government Employees at the Governor’s Office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

In his address on behalf of the two unions, Benco lauded the governor for his consistent dedication to the welfare of workers, describing him as a leader who keeps his promises and genuinely cares about the workforce.

“We are deeply thankful to our governor for his unwavering commitment to his promises and his support for workers. While we were not expecting this gesture at this time, the governor has once again demonstrated his reliability,” said Benco.

He also assured the governor of the workers’ loyalty and cooperation in realizing the objectives of the “Building Our Future Together” agenda of the Abiodun-led administration.

At the event, Governor Abiodun, represented by his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, emphasized that the donation of the buses fulfills his pledge to provide the unions with new vehicles for their daily operations.

The governor reiterated his administration’s prioritization of workers’ welfare and stressed the importance of mobility for union representatives to effectively discharge their duties. He urged civil servants in the state to continue supporting the government’s initiatives.
