The Senate has suspended Senator Abdul Ningi (Bauchi Central) for three months following allegations of N3 trillion budget padding in the 2024 budget. Several senators supported the call for Ningi’s suspension over the accusation.

Former Kaduna senator, Shehu Sani, highlighted the repercussions of Ningi’s suspension in a tweet, emphasizing the loss of privileges and entitlements during the period.

Sani pointed out that Ningi will no longer have access to his office and will not receive any remuneration until the suspension is lifted.
