In a recent onslaught, terrorists seized a staggering 87 women, children and others in an assault on the Kajuru Station community within Kaduna State. The brazen attack has plunged the Kaduna community into a state of disarray and trepidation, with some residents observed relocating in anticipation of further terrorist incursions.

This harrowing incident adds to a string of assaults that Kajuru has endured in recent times, with some locals still languishing in captivity from previous attacks. According to Harisu Dari, an official of the Kajuru-Station Youths, the assailants struck around 10 p.m. on Sunday, pillaging shops for food and other essentials.

“Only two days prior, 15 women and a man were forcibly taken from the Dogon-Noma community of Kajuru. Presently, there has been no communication regarding the fate of the 87 individuals abducted on Sunday night,” Dari lamented during a conversation with journalists.

He further expressed concern over the lack of immediate security response in the aftermath of the attack, underscoring the profound trauma inflicted upon the villagers. Dari emphasized the urgent need for a revised approach from government authorities in combating these pervasive acts of terrorism.
