President Bola Tinubu has called upon Nigerians to embrace locally made products as a strategy to bolster the value of the naira and alleviate hardship in the nation.

Speaking through his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, during a press briefing at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, President Tinubu emphasized the need for concerted efforts to promote and purchase made-in-Nigeria goods across various sectors.

Ngelale stated, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to communicating a clear message to our citizens that there has never been a more crucial time in our history to actively support and buy Nigerian products across all industries.”

Highlighting recent positive shifts in the foreign exchange market, Ngelale assured that measures to reinforce the nation’s currency, already showing promising results, would be sustained.

He continued, “President Tinubu is focused on enhancing the purchasing power of Nigerians and addressing issues such as the minimum wage. Our aim is to achieve a sustainable strength in the currency to ensure that any adjustments to the minimum wage are enduring and beneficial to Nigerian families nationwide.”

Ngelale further outlined the administration’s plans to prioritize support for large-scale manufacturers, ensuring job security and expansion within these crucial sectors.

He concluded, “President Tinubu’s administration is committed to easing the burden on families while implementing prudent spending measures in the public sector. Initiatives such as reducing unnecessary travel expenses and directing resources towards impactful projects will contribute to a more prosperous future for all Nigerians.”
