In a landmark ruling today, the Federal High Court in Lagos has convicted the controversial figure, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for abusing the Naira.

Justice Abimbola Awogboro delivered the verdict after a thorough review of the case’s evidence.

During his plea, Bobrisky expressed ignorance of the law regarding Naira abuse, citing his status as a social media influencer with over five million followers.

However, the judge reiterated that ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

Bobrisky, acknowledging his mistake, pleaded for a second chance to use his platform to educate his followers on responsible behavior, particularly regarding the spraying of money.

The self-proclaimed “Mummy of Lagos” had earlier pleaded guilty to the four counts of Naira abuse brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
