The Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt has issued an interim injunction, barring Martin Amaewhule, along with 24 other individuals, from presenting themselves as lawmakers.

The injunction, sought by Victor Jumbo and two other Assembly members aligned with Governor Siminalayi Fubara, restrains the mentioned individuals from assuming legislative roles.

Justice Charles Wali, in a case marked PHC/1512/CS/2024, prohibited the defendants from convening or conducting legislative activities at the House of Assembly Quarters or any other location until further notice.

Further updates to follow as the situation develops.
