The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Hamzat Adebola, on Thursday, paraded Lamidi Mukaila, also known as Auxiliary, the former Chairman of the Park Management System.
Auxiliary was arrested by the Department of State Services at his Olodo residence in Ibadan, the state capital, months after being declared wanted by the police for his alleged involvement in a series of armed robberies, kidnappings, and murders.
While parading Auxiliary at the state police command, Commissioner Adebola stated that the suspect would be charged in court.
Adebola said, “A discreet intelligence-led search for the sacked PMS chieftain, aided by technology and collaborative efforts with sister services and community policing, led to identifying and combing many locations for months. His recent arrest was made possible through concerted efforts with our sister services.”
Recovered at his Diamond Hotel residence in Alakia-Isebo Egbeda under the Egbeda Local Government Area were several exhibits, including:

- 19 pump-action rifles
- One Beretta pistol
- Seven cut-to-size guns
- One English-made barrel gun
- 724 live cartridges
- 25 cutlasses
- Seven jack knives
- 33 mobile phones
- One Samsung laptop
- Charms
- One Mazda bus
- One Toyota Sienna
- Cash sum of N3,450,000
The Commissioner of Police thanked the public for providing credible information that helped curb crime in the state. He also reiterated the command’s commitment to decisively deal with any criminally motivated individuals or groups attempting to return the state to the historical “Wild West” era.
