As Muslims across the globe gather to celebrate this year’s Eid el-Kabir, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Odogbolu state constituency ( 2019 – 2023), Hon. Atinuke Bello, has extended heartfelt greetings to all adherents of the Islamic faith.
The former lawmaker, in a personal message, described Eid el-Kabir as a Festival of Sacrifice, noting that it is a time of profound spiritual significance and reflection. She maintained that this period should remind us of the virtues of sacrifice, devotion, and compassion.
According to her, “the principles of Eid el-Kabir resonate deeply with our collective aspiration for unity, peace and progress. As we partake in the festivities, let us remember the less fortunate in our midst and extend our hands in kindness and generosity. By sharing our blessings and reaching out to those in need, we embody the true spirit of this sacred occasion”.
She encouraged everyone to use this period to foster harmony and strengthen the bonds of humanity. “Our diversity is our strength, and by embracing our differences, we can build a more inclusive and resilient community”, Bello concluded.
She prayed that the spirit of Eid brings joy, peace and blessings to every home.
