The Tech Workshop led by Comrade Adeola Akinyemi, the State Vice Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ogun East in partnership with Technite Community, a subsidiary of Technite Global Network.
The tech workshop was a significant event aimed at equipping the youth with essential information technology skills. The program started on the 26th of June to the 28th of June, 2024, at the Ijebu North East ICT Centre, the workshop attracted over 150 participants across the 9 Local Government in Ogun East Senatorial District.
Attendees and Dignitaries
The Local Government Chairman, Hon. Foluso Badejo, graced the event. He expressed his commitment to give support to the council and he was overwhelmed on how the program was planned and executed. He acknowledged the effort of Comrade Adeola Akinyemi State Vice Chairman Ogun East NYCN and Technite Community. He emphasized the need for ongoing training to equip approximately 3000 youths in Ogun East and Ogun State, Nigeria.
Skills and Training
The workshop focused on a diverse set of skills, including:
- Graphics Design
- Photography & Video Editing
- UI/UX Design
- Web Design
- Introduction to Content Writing
These skills were chosen to provide the participants with a broad foundation in tech, catering to different interests and potential career paths.
The event was successfully coordinated by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, under the leadership of the State Vice Chairman, Comrade Adeola Akinyemi.
The collaboration with Technite Global Network was instrumental in revitalizing the previously underutilized ICT centre.
This partnership demonstrated the potential of strategic alliances in fostering youth empowerment through technology.

Conclusion and Future Prospects
The workshop was a resounding success, laying the groundwork for future training programs. The positive feedback from participants.
Moving forward, there is a clear need to scale up these efforts to reach a larger audience amongst youths in Ogun State, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital age.
