The Senate has removed Senator Ali Ndume from his position as Chief Whip, appointing Senator Tahir Monguno as his replacement.

This change followed a directive issued in a letter from the National Chairman of the party, Umar Ganduje, and National Secretary, Senator Bashir Ajibola. The request was put to a voice vote by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and was loudly affirmed by all APC senators.
