The Osun State Government has announced that all primary and secondary schools in the state will commence their third term vacation starting Wednesday. This directive, aimed at ensuring the safety of students amid planned nationwide protests, was issued by Mr. Muritala Jimoh, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, in Osogbo.

The statement reads: “This is to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians, and heads of both public and private schools in the state, that due to the planned nationwide protests, all schools are directed to proceed on the third term vacation from Wednesday, July 31.”

Mr. Jimoh also urged parents and guardians to prioritize the safety of their children during this period.
