A non-governmental organization – Eleyun Charitable Organization has continued its mission of supporting education by distributing essential back-to-school items to beneficiaries of its scholarship scheme. The event, held on Monday, 30th of September, 2024, saw the distribution of new school bags, school uniforms, notebooks and writing materials to students benefiting from the organization’s scholarship program, which was launched last year.
The scholarship also covers the full payment of tuition fees and the purchase of necessary textbooks, ensuring the students can continue their education without financial constraints. The beneficiaries, drawn from the nine government-owned secondary schools in Ijebu Igbo, expressed their gratitude for the much-needed assistance.
Their Parents and guardians also conveyed sincere appreciation to the founder of the organization, Hon. Tayo Adenaike (a.k.a Tayo Eleyun), for his ongoing support, despite the challenging economic conditions. They offered prayers and praises for him and his team, recognizing their dedication to providing opportunities for indigent students.
The students, in turn, promised to make the best use of the resources provided, pledging to maintain their academic focus and work hard in school. It is pertinent to mention that Eleyun Charitable Organization has committed to supporting the educational needs of these selected students throughout their secondary school journey. Furthermore, the top three students with the highest WAEC and JAMB scores will be awarded scholarships to any government-owned higher institution in Nigeria.
The founder, Hon. Adenaike reassured that his organization remains at the forefront of providing educational assistance to underprivileged students, helping to secure a brighter future and offer help in reducing out-of-school children.
