As the fourth edition of the Ijebu Fashion Festival gears up for its grand finale on November 29, 2024 in Ijebu Ode, fashion enthusiasts and industry stakeholders are set to witness an impressive showcase by the top finalists of this year’s event which was themed, “EMERGE”. Each finalist represents a distinct fashion brand, bringing unique styles and innovation to the stage while demonstrating the creativity of the fashion industry.

Among the celebrated finalists is Ayinke Fashion Academy, a distinguished fashion institute located at Cele Junction, Igbeba, Ijebu Ode. Known for its comprehensive training programs for aspiring designers aged 18-45, Ayinke Fashion Academy offers both 6-month and 3-month courses across basic, intermediate, and advanced levels, equipping students with the skills to thrive in the fashion world.

Representing Tifad Ventures, Adeyemi Latifat brings expertise in women’s casual, native, and bespoke designs, as well as kiddies’ fashion. Based in Ijebu Ode, Tifad Ventures not only sells quality fabrics but also empowers others through skill-building in fashion.

From Sagamu, VonkyFashion, helmed by Emonvon Lucky, specializes in kaftan and streetwear for men and children aged 1-12. The brand also provides consultations, fabric sales, and training for budding designers.

Abeokuta-based Fadek-Set Concept, led by Layade Fadeke, champions affordable, handmade bags and leather souvenirs, targeting middle- and lower-income groups. Fadek-Set Concept supports local women, youth, and students by providing them with skills for sustainable livelihoods.

JJ World Styles, directed by Kehinde Michael Korede, offers unisex fashion with an emphasis on ready-to-wear suits, tracksuits, kiddies’ wear, and mass production. With locations in Ibadan and Ijebu, JJ World Styles also features a fashion academy to nurture future talent.

Other notable finalists include Dolphinpattern, run by Akintunde Adetutu, which specializes in bridal and bespoke wear for women and children; More’s Fashion Hub, led by Abiola Toyyibah, which offers ready-to-wear female outfits, children’s wear, and customized jewelry; and Kush Atelier, under the direction of Kusoro Samson, a brand dedicated to premium fashion craftsmanship.

Lastly, M.R. Design, spearheaded by Maraiyesa Ayokunle from Palmgrove, Lagos, brings an exceptional mix of bespoke fashion, ready-to-wear lines, and fabric sales.

These creative directors and their teams have each carved a niche within the fashion industry, showcasing a blend of culture, skill, and business acumen that promises to make the Ijebu Fashion Festival a landmark event. With a mission to inspire and connect fashion professionals across the region, the Ijebu Fashion Festival continues to set the stage for emerging talents, solidifying Ijebu Ode’s position on the fashion map.
