The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) will today, Sunday, November 17, 2024, formally present Certificates of Return to all newly elected Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Councillors across the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State. This was contained in a statement issued by OGSIEC Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu on Sunday morning.

This ceremony follows the successful conclusion of the  local government elections in the state, held on Saturday, 16th of November, 2024. In total, 20 Chairmen, their Vice Chairmen, and 236 Councillors will receive their certificates, marking the official beginning of their tenures.

According to the statement, the event is scheduled to hold at the Commission’s Headquarters in Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, at 2:00 PM. All elected officials are expected to be seated by 1:30 PM to ensure a prompt start to the program.
