In its bid to make significant stride toward youth empowerment, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun East Senatorial District, under the leadership of Comrade Akinyemi Adeola, held a pivotal meeting with the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture on Thursday, December 5, 2024. The discussion centered on collaborative strategies to enhance agricultural productivity and provide critical support to young farmers in the district.

The engagement highlighted plans to expand the state’s food basket by equipping youths with the necessary tools and resources to bolster their agricultural ventures. This initiative underscores the council’s commitment to enhancing sustainable development and economic growth through youth involvement in agriculture.

As a testament to his unwavering support for youth development in agriculture, Hon. Bolu Owotomo was honored with a prestigious Youth Leadership Award. In his acceptance speech, he reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment, pledging to facilitate partnerships with stakeholders who can help purchase farm produce, thereby ensuring financial security and market access for young farmers.

The event witnessed the presence of notable figures, including Com. Akinyemi Adeola (State Vice Chairman, Ogun East), Com. Olawale Senbadejo (former State Deputy Chairman), Com.
