The family of legendary Juju musician, Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade (KSA), has debunked widespread rumours about his alleged disappearance, assuring the public that the music icon is safe and in good health.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, one of his children and manager, Dayo Adegeye, described the reports as “malicious” and aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the veteran musician.
“We want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound,” the statement read. “There is no truth to the kidnapping rumour, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.”
Adegeye reaffirmed that the ‘King of World Beats’ has not been abducted or harmed in any way, and emphasized the family’s commitment to safeguarding his image.
“The Adegeye family and King Sunny Ade’s team are working diligently to put an end to the rumour and protect his reputation,” he added.
He further assured fans and well-wishers that King Sunny Ade remains in good health and high spirits, with his focus firmly on his music and preserving his cultural legacy.
