The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command,  on Tuesday, 27th of May, 2025,  inducted a new set of Special Marshals at a formal ceremony held at the Corps Sector Command headquarters in Ibara GRA, Abeokuta.

The event, which drew top-ranking officers of the Corps, was graced by the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Akinwunmi Fasakin, and the State Coordinator for Special Marshals in Ogun State, Special Marshal Taiwo Balogun.

In his address to the newly inducted volunteers, CC Fasakin commended their commitment to public service and urged them to uphold the ethics and values of the Corps. He emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and selflessness in carrying out their duties.

“You are now ambassadors of the Corps. You must at all times conduct yourselves with the highest level of integrity. Say no to bribery, as it stands against everything the FRSC represents,” he charged.

Fasakin praised the inductees for offering themselves for humanitarian service and encouraged them to approach their role with dedication and wholesomeness, noting that the strength of the Corps lies in the discipline and sincerity of its personnel.

Highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a meritorious award to the Class Governor of the new inductees, Chief (Mrs.) Elizabeth Olubunmi Olaitan Adebo. She was recognized for her exemplary leadership, philanthropic contributions and unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes. The award was personally handed over by the Sector Commander.

In a gesture of goodwill, the new inductees also donated a set of chairs for the use of the Sector Command, reflecting their spirit of service and contribution to the Corps’ operations.

The induction marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts of the FRSC to promote road safety and responsible volunteerism in Ogun State.
