Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed calls for his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that no individual has the authority or moral standing to remove him from the party.

Speaking during a media parley in Abuja on Monday, Wike reaffirmed his membership and commitment to the PDP, stressing that his contributions to the party are unmatched.

“I am still in the PDP. I worked hard for the party,” he said. “I have not seen anybody who will have the guts to tell me, ‘Wike, you are not a member of the party.’ Who is that? What is his contribution to the party that is more than mine?”

Wike’s comments come amid internal wrangling within the PDP, particularly surrounding his involvement in the current administration and speculations about his political allegiance.

The former Rivers State governor, however, maintained that his loyalty to the PDP remains intact and that efforts to sideline him would not succeed.
