In a strategic move to deepen youth engagement in modern agriculture, the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ogun Central Senatorial District, has paid a familiarisation visit to Eupesia Place Limited, popularly known as the Soilless Farm Lab.

The delegation, led by Comrade Toyo Abiodun Joseph, the Vice-Chairman NYCN Ogun Central, included Comrade Yusuf Anuoluwa, Organising Secretary, alongside youth representatives from all six local government areas within the senatorial district.

The visit, aimed at promoting youth participation in innovation-led enterprises, spotlighted the farm’s impressive track record in transforming agriculture through technology and sustainability.

Located in Ogun State, Soilless Farm Lab is a cutting-edge agribusiness hub that has redefined agricultural practices by integrating agri-tech solutions with scalable agronomic models. In just three years, the farm has trained over 12,000 Nigerian youth, many of whom are now thriving entrepreneurs in the agri-value chain both within and beyond Nigeria.

The farm’s hands-on training programmes and incubation facilities cover a wide range of agribusiness areas, including:

  • Vegetable Farming
  • Greenhouse Construction
  • Snailery
  • Fishery
  • Rabbitry
  • Animal Husbandry
  • Agronomic Research
  • Agri-Tech Development
  • Agricultural Business Strategy

Guided by the core pillars of Technology, Business and Opportunity, Soilless Farm Lab continues to empower youth and position agriculture as a viable path to self-reliance and economic sustainability.

The NYCN delegation was received by a representative of Eupesia Place, Mr. Paul, who took the team on a comprehensive tour of the facility. He shared insights on the farm’s mission, curriculum, and the measurable impact of its work in empowering Nigeria’s youth.

In a show of goodwill, Soilless Farm Lab extended an invitation to NYCN for collaboration and participation in its upcoming training cohort, scheduled for October 2025. The gesture was warmly received and described by NYCN as “a direct investment in the future of Ogun Central youth.”

Mr. Paul also introduced the Enterprise for Seniors initiative—a one-week intensive training programme designed for older farmers who wish to update their skills and align with contemporary farming standards.

In his remarks, Comr. Toyo Abiodun Joseph commended the farm’s inclusive approach and reaffirmed NYCN’s commitment to partnering with value-driven institutions to enhance youth development across the state.

“Soilless Farm Lab is not just a farm; it is a transformative platform for young Nigerians. We are proud to have such a revolutionary initiative within Ogun Central and we call on other organisations to follow suit by investing in youth capacity development,” he said.

The NYCN concluded its visit by reiterating its core belief that “a nation that builds its youth secures its future.”
