According to a report by NBC News, the legendary wrestler passed away at his home in Florida. The outlet cited Hogan’s longtime manager, Chris Volo, as confirming the news. Entertainment website TMZ also reported the death, quoting unnamed sources.
Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, rose to global fame in the 1980s as the larger-than-life face of the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). Known for his towering 6’7” (two-meter) frame, trademark bandana, and iconic blond handlebar mustache, Hogan became a pop culture phenomenon, crossing over into mainstream entertainment with a series of film and television appearances.
