A prominent political group in the South-East, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has announced a donation of ₦200 million to purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination form and support campaign logistics for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The announcement was made during the inauguration and empowerment ceremony of SERHA’s Imo State chapter, held over the weekend. The event attracted political stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters from across the region.

Delivering the keynote address, SERHA’s National Coordinator, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, reaffirmed the group’s unwavering support for Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“As ambassadors of Renewed Hope, we are committed to working tirelessly for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Today, we present a cheque of ₦200 million for the purchase of the APC presidential nomination form and campaign logistics,” Enwere announced.

He lauded Tinubu’s leadership, citing gains in infrastructure development, education, and inclusive governance. Enwere also highlighted key federal projects in the region, including the recently approved $3 billion Eastern Rail Line, which he described as the largest infrastructure investment in the South-East’s history.

“This railway project is a game-changer. It will stimulate trade, reduce transportation costs, and address historical marginalisation,” he said.

Enwere also applauded the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), noting its potential to tackle erosion, improve road networks, and accelerate regional growth.

“These initiatives underscore the federal government’s commitment to the South-East,” he added.

Paying tribute to regional icons such as the late Chief Sam Mbakwe and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Enwere also commended Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for his developmental strides under the 3R Agenda.

As part of SERHA’s mobilisation plan, Enwere announced a grassroots sensitisation tour across all 95 local government areas and 2,344 wards in the South-East beginning in August.

“This is the South’s turn to complete its eight years in power. The South-East will not relent in ensuring President Tinubu’s victory in 2027,” he declared.

The event also featured the distribution of empowerment items, including motorcycles, mini-buses, sewing machines, hairdressing kits, and cash grants to local residents — a gesture aimed at promoting self-reliance and community upliftment.
