Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, has candidly shared details about her personal life, revealing that she is single and without children at the age of 52.
In an interview granted recently, the award-winning actress was asked if she had children. She responded: “No, I don’t unfortunately.”
On her marital status, Akintola stressed that remaining single was not a deliberate choice. “Not chosen oo,” she clarified.
Born on May 5, 1973, the Lagos-born actress has been a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry for nearly three decades. She made her debut in 1995 in Owo Blow alongside Femi Adebayo, and gained further acclaim in 1997’s Out of Bounds, where she starred with Richard Mofe-Damijo.
Akintola attended Maryland Convent Private School and Command Day Secondary School in Lagos before earning a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.
Most recently, she played the role of Inspector Mo Ogunlesi in Kemi Adetiba’s crime-thriller series To Kill a Monkey.
