Members of the YAYI Total Support Group (YTSG) on Sunday converged at the Omo Ilu Foundation Hall  in Ijebu Igbo to celebrate the 56th birthday of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), the lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

The group, convened by Hon. Jenriyi Osinowo, a frontline aspirant for the Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency seat, drew members from across the nine local government areas of Ogun East Senatorial District, which further affirms its deep grassroots presence.

According to the organisers, the YTSG has been actively mobilising across Ogun East in support of Senator Adeola’s anticipated bid for the Ogun State governorship in 2027.

Addressing attendees, the group’s coordinator, Bishop Ademola Peter, praised the “giant strides” of Senator Adeola, describing his achievements as “unprecedented in Ogun State.” He noted that YTSG’s commitment to the senator’s governorship ambition stems from his exceptional record of performance and responsiveness to the needs of the people.

Bishop Peter also commended Hon. Osinowo, the convener of YTSG, for his connection to the grassroots and his consistent leadership despite not currently holding political office.

“Hon. Jenriyi Osinowo is a remarkable leader, outstanding in words and actions. His impact is felt across the nine local government areas of our senatorial district, and that is why it has been so easy for us to network support across the district. Our members’ support is not driven by inducement, but by the love and trust they have in his leadership. We believe he will deliver outstandingly if elected to the House of Representatives,” Bishop Peter said.

On Senator Adeola’s performance, the coordinator highlighted the lawmaker’s far-reaching impact, noting that his developmental projects and empowerment programmes have touched virtually all 20 local government areas of Ogun State.

“For many years, I have not seen a man doing as much as YAYI. Apart from his sterling legislative record, he has taken development and empowerment to every corner of Ogun State, a feat we consider unprecedented,” he added.

The event concluded with a formal endorsement of Senator Adeola for governor in 2027 and Hon. Osinowo for the House of Representatives seat for Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.
