The Convener and Director General of Ogun Progressive People (OPP), Olola Faith Daniel, has congratulated Hon. (Dr) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji on her landslide victory in the just concluded House of Representatives by-election for Remo Federal Constituency, held on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

In his congratulatory message, Olola Daniel described Elegbeji’s emergence as “a clear affirmation of the genuine trust the electorate has in her character, capacity and the progressive ideals of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).”

He commended the people of Sagamu, Ikenne and Remo North Remo for their overwhelming support, stressing that the victory was also a reflection of the giant strides and purposeful leadership of the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, whose developmental agenda, he noted, played a pivotal role in strengthening the party’s base and securing the victory.

Olola Faith Daniel further urged the newly elected lawmaker not to betray the trust and confidence reposed in her by the electorate, but to consolidate on the gains of her predecessor, the late Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga (a.k.a. IJAYA), whose tenure, he said, left indelible footprints in the constituency.

“I have no doubt that Princess Elegbeji will deliver beyond expectations. Her antecedents in public service speak volumes of her capacity, courage and commitment to people-oriented representation,” he declared.

Finally, he charged stakeholders and constituents to rally round the new lawmaker to ensure she succeeds in advancing the progressive vision for Remo Federal Constituency.
