As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, House of Representatives aspirant for Ijebu North/Ijebu East & Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, Hon. Jenriyi Osinowo, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, resilience and a renewed commitment to building a greater nation.

In his goodwill message, Osinowo described the anniversary as both a historic milestone and a solemn reminder of the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers who fought for freedom, unity, and self-determination.

“Though the path has not always been smooth, the resilience of Nigerians in the face of challenges continues to be our greatest strength. Our diversity remains a source of pride and our collective aspiration for peace, justice, and prosperity binds us together as one nation under God,” he said.

He emphasized that Independence should not merely be seen as a date on the calendar, but as a call to action for every citizen to contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

“Nigeria stands at a critical juncture where visionary leadership, inclusive representation, and people-centered governance are most needed. We must each play our part in building the Nigeria we desire: a Nigeria where every child can dream, every youth can thrive, every community can prosper and every citizen can live with dignity and hope,” he added.

Looking ahead, Osinowo called on Nigerians to draw strength from the past, remain steadfast in the present and be inspired by the future possibilities that lie ahead.

He concluded his message with a note of optimism:

“Together, with faith, courage, and unity of purpose, Nigeria shall rise to greater heights. Happy Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!”
