Since assuming office in 2019, our administration has pursued a bold and deliberate infrastructure renewal agenda aimed at transforming Ogun State into a modern, economically competitive, and socially inclusive environment. Central to this vision is our comprehensive road development programme, which has become the backbone of our urban regeneration, industrial expansion, and rural accessibility efforts.

Over the past six years, we have reconstructed, rehabilitated, and newly constructed hundreds of kilometres of roads across the three senatorial districts, Ogun Central, Ogun East, and Ogun West, ensuring that every local government area feels the impact of good governance. The results are evident in the unprecedented expansion of transport networks, enhanced connectivity between communities, and improved access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities.

In Ogun Central, our focus has been on modernizing the state capital and surrounding areas to reflect its growing status as a commercial and administrative hub. The strategic reconstruction and expansion of key link roads have significantly decongested traffic, improved intra-city mobility, and enhanced access to industrial corridors and public institutions. This has also improved the aesthetic and economic outlook of Abeokuta and its environs.

Ogun East has benefited from large-scale infrastructural renewal, linking major towns and creating direct connections to industrial, tourism, and agricultural zones. The improved road network in this district has not only stimulated commerce but has also strengthened Ogun’s integration with neighbouring Lagos, making the state more attractive for investment and regional trade. Communities previously isolated by poor road conditions now enjoy smooth passage and renewed economic activity.

In Ogun West, we have changed the long-standing narrative of neglect through extensive reconstruction and rehabilitation works that cut across all five local government areas. The transformation of major township and inter-community roads has boosted industrial growth, eased transportation of goods, and enhanced daily life for residents. The road interventions in this district also play a vital role in improving access to border communities, thereby promoting security and cross-border trade.

Our infrastructure investments are not merely about constructing roads but about connecting people to opportunities. Improved road networks have directly contributed to the state’s economic vibrancy, agricultural distribution efficiency, and social inclusion. Farmers now move their produce more easily to urban markets, industries enjoy better logistics, and commuters save both time and resources.

In addition, the ease of movement within and between communities has encouraged population growth in emerging residential areas, increased land value, and attracted private investment. Schools and healthcare facilities now record higher accessibility, and local businesses continue to thrive due to improved patronage and reduced operational costs.

Every kilometre of road constructed or rehabilitated reflects our unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability. Each project undergoes proper design, supervision, and evaluation to ensure durability and long-term serviceability. Beyond building infrastructure, we are also building trust, ensuring that public resources deliver tangible, life-changing benefits to the people of Ogun State.

While celebrating these achievements, we are equally aware that some roads across the state are still in need of urgent attention. We want to assure our people that plans are already in motion to address these pending roads as soon as possible. Just as we have intervened on several others that were once in deplorable condition, we remain resolute in ensuring that no community is left behind in the ongoing infrastructural transformation of our dear state.

As we consolidate on these achievements, our vision remains clear: to make Ogun State the preferred destination for living, working, and investing. Through equitable distribution of infrastructure, we have strengthened unity across our communities and laid a solid foundation for continued socio-economic progress.

Our administration remains resolute in its commitment to sustain the pace of road development, attract private-sector participation, and ensure that no part of Ogun State is left behind in our collective journey toward a more prosperous future.
