The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday expelled former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike; the party’s factional National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was announced during the PDP National Convention currently holding in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The motion for their expulsion was moved by PDP founding member, Chief Olabode George, and overwhelmingly supported by delegates. It was subsequently seconded by Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.

Also expelled were the party’s National Legal Adviser, Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN); National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature; AbdulRahman Mohammed; Mao Ohuabunwa; George Turner; Austin Nwachukwu; Abraham Ammah; and Dan Orbih.
