Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Odogbolu Local Government have thrown their full weight behind Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, endorsing him as their preferred candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 National Assembly elections.

The endorsement was announced at a strategic stakeholders’ meeting held in Odogbolu, where party elders, leaders and all ward chairmen unanimously backed the governor’s bid. They cited his “exceptional leadership qualities, transformative achievements, and unwavering commitment to the development of Ogun State” as the basis for their decision.

Speaking on behalf of the ward chairmen, the Chairman of the Odogbolu APC Ward Chairmen Forum said the governor’s experience and service delivery record make him the most qualified to represent Ogun East at the Senate. He added that Prince Abiodun’s “unifying leadership style and deep understanding of governance” are crucial for advancing the interests of both the senatorial district and the state.

Stakeholders at the meeting also highlighted major accomplishments recorded under the Abiodun administration, including infrastructural development, youth empowerment programmes, economic expansion initiatives, and sustainable governance reforms that have delivered visible improvements across communities in Ogun East.

They pledged total commitment to mobilising grassroots support to secure an emphatic victory for the governor in the 2027 general elections, stressing that Odogbolu Local Government is proud to lead the call for his senatorial ambition.

According to the stakeholders, further consultations and engagements with other local governments in the senatorial district will continue in the coming days.
