Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Fubara announced his decision on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Government House in Port Harcourt, where he informed party leaders, political associates, and supporters of his move.

The governor’s defection adds him to the growing list of political heavyweights who have crossed over to the APC in recent months, further reshaping the nation’s political landscape ahead of coming elections.
