Speaking during the ceremony, Sheikh Aladi charged the newly turbaned Wazeeril Muslim and others who received various Islamic titles to see their appointments as a call to service. He urged them to work closely with the Muslim leadership in Ota to promote unity, peace and the strengthening of Islam within the Awori Muslim community.
He emphasized the need for the new title holders to uphold Islamic values, support religious activities and contribute meaningfully to community development.
In his response, Comrade Kelani expressed gratitude to the Grand Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community for the honour bestowed on him. He described the turbaning as a responsibility that demands greater commitment to the service of Islam and humanity.
