The leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Odeda Local branch, has presented an award of Pillar of Youth Empowerment to the Deputy Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Comrade Kazeem Lawal, in recognition of his contributions to youth development.


The award was presented during a brief ceremony held in Odeda, where the NYCN Coordinator for the local government, Comrade Ajani Mufutau, described Lawal as a committed youth leader whose efforts have positively impacted many young people.


According to Ajani, the honour was in recognition of Lawal’s selfless service, hard work and dedication to the empowerment of youths, as well as his contributions to humanity at large.


He said the AMORAN deputy chairman has consistently supported initiatives aimed at improving the welfare, skills and socio-economic stability of young people within the local government and beyond.


Ajani added that the council considered Lawal worthy of the award due to his leadership style and his readiness to use his position to uplift others.


In his response, Comrade Lawal expressed gratitude to the leadership of NYCN Odeda for the recognition, describing the award as a motivation to do more for youths and the community.


He reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment, peace-building and the promotion of responsible leadership among young people, while urging youths to remain law-abiding and focused on personal development.


The event was attended by youth leaders, association members and other stakeholders from within the local government area.
