…reaffirms unalloyed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prince Dapo Abiodun

The Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, has fulfilled his “No PVC, No Work” pledge with the commencement of a statewide Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) verification exercise for members across Ogun State.

The exercise began on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the union’s state secretariat in Abeokuta, where state and branch executives presented their PVCs for verification by designated officials.

Speaking during the exercise, Sokoya said the initiative was aimed at ensuring that all members of the union possess valid PVCs ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that participation in the electoral process was critical to shaping leadership at all levels.

According to him, the union is particularly keen on mobilising its members to support leaders whose performances have positively impacted the country and the state.

“We are embarking on this exercise to ensure that, come 2027, no member of this union is excluded from the decision-making process of electing our leaders,” Sokoya said.

“More importantly, we have witnessed the giant strides recorded under the leadership of our amiable President, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Anyone who understands the dynamics of quality governance will attest that, within two years, Nigeria has recorded notable progress in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, job creation, security and a visible reduction in inflation.”

He noted that such achievements did not occur by chance but were the result of focused and purposeful leadership.

“For us as a union, we have unanimously resolved to deploy our voter cards to return President Tinubu for a second term in 2027. The reward for good work is more work,” he added.

Sokoya also commended the administration of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, noting that the state has witnessed significant development over the past six years under his “Igbega Ipinle Ogun, Ajose Gbogbo Wa Ni” governance philosophy.

“The achievements of the present administration in Ogun State are not hearsay; they are visible and widely acknowledged by residents of the Gateway State. The governor has positioned Ogun among the leading states in the country,” he said.

On this basis, the AMORAN chairman called on Governor Abiodun to contest the Ogun East Senatorial seat in 2027, assuring him of the union’s full support.

“There is a reward for every good deed,” Sokoya stated. He disclosed that PVC verification had been completed for members from over ten local government areas on the first day, adding that the exercise would continue on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, to cover other areas of the state.

Reacting to the exercise, a branch Chairman in Sagamu Local Government, Mr. Adunmo Moruf, described the initiative as timely and commendable.

“This is a very good exercise. Our Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya and the entire state executive deserve commendation for making this possible,” he said.

“There is a clear need to reward our performing President and Governor and this cannot be done without our PVCs. The process has been peaceful, orderly and efficient. I spent less than five minutes on the queue and this is for our collective good. God bless Akílé Danku.”
