Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced substantial financial incentives for Nigeria’s Super Eagles following their 2–0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
In a statement shared on Saturday via his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, Rabiu congratulated the team for their impressive performance, noting that their victory had lifted the mood of the nation.
“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria! You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals,” he wrote.
He went further to unveil a package of incentives aimed at motivating the players ahead of the crucial last-four encounter. According to Rabiu, he has pledged $500,000 to the team upon winning the semi-final, with an additional $50,000 bonus for every goal scored in the match.
The business mogul also promised even bigger rewards should the Super Eagles go on to lift the trophy. “Should you win the final, I further pledge $1,000,000, plus $100,000 for each goal scored in the final,” he added.
Rabiu concluded his message by urging the players to sustain their momentum and continue to inspire Nigerians at home and abroad. “Wishing you continued success as you carry Nigeria forward. Keep making Nigeria proud. Proudly Nigerian.”
Nigeria booked their semi-final berth with a commanding 2–0 victory over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech on Wednesday. The Super Eagles will now face host nation Morocco in the semi-final of the tournament on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
