Ahead of his official installation as the Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo slated for February 5, 2026, Alhaji Abiodun Olawale Lawal (a.k.a ABINUGBOLA), has extended a gesture of educational support to secondary school students across the town.

Alhaji Abinugbola donated over 3,000 notebooks to students in selected public secondary schools in Ijebu Igbo, as part of an outreach programme held between Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30, 2026.

Schools visited during the two-day exercise include Shamsudeen Grammar School, Japara High School, Olokine Comprehensive High School, Keegbo Comprehensive High School, Ijebu Igbo Girls’ Grammar School, Molusi College, Abusi Edumare Academy and Beje High School.

Speaking during the distribution on behalf of the Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo-designate, one of his aides, Comrade Abdul-Lateef Ajibise, described the initiative as a reflection of Alhaji Lawal’s deep commitment to education and youth development.

According to him, the intervention was designed to directly support students with essential learning materials, noting that education remains a priority for the sponsor.

“This is a modest way of reaching out to our students. The Oluomo of Ijebu Igbo-designate is a strong believer in education and genuinely cares about the well-being and academic growth of young people,” he said.

Speaking further, he urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the notebooks, assuring them that the gesture marks the beginning of broader educational initiatives aimed at supporting students across Ijebu Igbo.

Students in the various schools expressed appreciation for the donation, describing the gesture as timely and thoughtful, while offering prayers and goodwill messages to Alhaji Abiodun Lawal, ahead of his installation.
