The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved its Ogun State Executive Committee with immediate effect.


The decision was announced on Friday by the party’s National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed.


According to the statement dated March 13, 2026, the dissolution takes effect immediately, bringing an end to the tenure of the existing state leadership of the party.


“The National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) hereby announces the dissolution of the Ogun State Executive Committee with immediate effect,” the statement read.


Despite the action, the party expressed appreciation to members of the dissolved executive for their services and contributions to the growth and development of the PDP in Ogun State.


The party further disclosed that a caretaker committee that will oversee its affairs in the state will be constituted and announced shortly.
