The Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF) has endorsed the Ogun State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Adviser, Dapo Okubadejo, as a suitable running mate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made its position known in a statement issued by its Chairman, Jamiu Saka, who described Okubadejo as a seasoned professional with the competence, experience and leadership capacity to complement Adeola on a joint ticket.
Okubadejo, who also serves as Economic Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun, was commended for his contributions to the state’s economic management and governance under the current administration.
According to the Foundation, his background in economic planning, governance and strategic development positions him to add value to a joint ticket focused on delivering people-oriented and result-driven leadership in Ogun State.
“IPEF stands firmly on the pillars of professionalism, integrity and excellence. Otunba Dapo Okubadejo has consistently exemplified these values in both public and private service. His emergence on a joint ticket with Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) will undoubtedly enhance governance and inspire public confidence,” the statement read.
The Foundation also disclosed plans to confer a Premium Award of Excellence on Okubadejo in recognition of his contributions to public service and professional development.
It added that the award ceremony would attract prominent personalities, professionals and stakeholders from across Ijebuland and beyond, in line with its commitment to promoting excellence and impactful leadership.
IPEF said details of the date and venue of the event would be announced in due course, reiterating its dedication to advancing professional excellence in Ijebuland.
